Lincs League: Town lose out to CGB Humbertherm

Kieran Rodgers’ goal was not enough to grant Boston Town Reserves victory over CGB Humbertherm in the Lincolnshire League on Saturday.

The visitors netted through Jonah Simmonds and Daniel Trott to leave Tattershall Road with a 2-1 victory.

Last Tuesday, Boston United’s second string earned a hard-fought 3-3 draw at home to Skegness United.

With a number of first-team fringe players in their squad, Martyn Bunce’s side scored through Charley Sanders, Korey Dyer-Stewart and Sam Craven.

The Pilgrims led 1-0 and 2-1 but had to equalise late on.

Goals from Sean Chamberlain, Michael Howard and Ryan O’Loughlin shared the spoils.

On Friday night, the Pilgrims’ reserves return to league action at Ashby Avenue, facing hosts Lincoln United Reserves.

The Poachers’ seconds are on their travels on Saturday.

They will face Skegness United.

Tonight Town host derby rivals Heckington United.
