The management committee of the Boston Saturday Football League have introduced two new rule changes for the upcoming season... meaning clubs will face tougher financial penalties if they flout the law.

At the recent AGM, chairman Roger Gell read out the rule amendments proposed by the committee.

The proposed amendment to Rule 8(N) to increase the fine for playing an unregistered or ineligible player from £5 to £10 was accepted unopposed,

As was the proposal for Rule 5(I) Appendix H, whereby a club incurring 10 or more fines in any one season shall be fined £25.

It was also highlighted that every club would need to take up Players’ Personal Accident Insurance prior to being able to affiliate to Lincs FA (this is in addition to the Public Liability Insurance that was introduced as mandatory the previous season).

Clubs are reminded to purchase the insurance cover and complete the required affiliation forms, sending this to Lincs FA with the necessary payment as a matter of urgency.

Colin West (Leverton SFC) was accepted onto the management committee and will replace Gordon Lane (Spilsby Town) who handed in his resignation.

Meanwhile, Leverton SFC have shown off their new strip, sponsored by the Waterfront pub and Thomas Campbell Estate Agents.
