Mark Bower says 'outstanding' Boston United will be 'right up there' this season, but felt his Bradford Park Avenue side looked most likely to grab late winner
Mark Bower has tipped Boston United to be 'right up there' in the National League North, but believes his Bradford Park Avenue side looked most likely to grab a late winner last night.
The Pilgrims left the Horsfall Stadium with a point after Jordan Thewlis' second-half header immediately cancelled out Will Longbottom's opener.

Park Avenue boss Bower was impressed by the visitors, but also gave his side the thumbs up for their battling performance in the wind and rain.
"First and foremost, and outstanding team," he said of Craig Elliott's side.
"A really, really strong team and they'll be right up there come the end of the season.

"We were playing in a really strong wind first half and knew we would be up against it, but I thought we restricted them to very little.
"They had a couple of chances and Dan (Atkinson) made a really good save from one of those. (We) just didn't have that turnover and bit of quailty to catch them on the counter."
Bower believed his side came into the contest more after the teams swapped end at the interval.

"I thought they had a lot more of the ball, which you expect, but in terms of chances, having gone in front, disappointed to concede straight away.
"But after that Wills's had a really good chance and Isaac (Marriott) has missed one.
"We probably looked like the team most threatening in front of goal later on."
