Parnell strike ends Town’s winless run

Ryan Parnell grabbed an 85th-minute winner to earn Boston Town a surprise 1-0 victory at highflying Eynesbury Rovers on Monday evening.

The victory ended the Poachers’ five-game winless streak in the United Countiues League Premier Division.

With those three points in the bag, Jason Callaby’s side sit in 17th in the standings, with Eynesbury still in fourth spot.

Town now travel to face Lincolnshire rivals Deeping Rangers on Saturday (KO 3pm).

This weill be followed the following weekend with a trip to AFC Kempston Rovers (KO 3pm).

This weekend’s scheduled home match against Kirby Muxloe fell foul of a waterlogged pitch and is yet to be re-arranged.
