Peterborough Northern Star 0 Boston Town 1: He’s Dunn it! Ian’s late strike earns Poachers victory

Player-manager Ian Dunn scored a late winner to earn Boston Town all three points at Peterborough Northern Star.

The 85th-minute strike earned the in-form Poachers their seventh victory from their past nine matches.

However, Town also owe a great debt of gratitude to new keeper Harry Ashton, who saved a Star penalty with the scores locked at 0-0.

James Reed conceded the spot kick but the stopper - who joined from Grimsby Town last week - showed a firm pair of hands.

The two opponents drew 3-3 in the UCL Premier clash at Tattershall Road earlier in the month.

But on Saturday, the Poachers edged it thanks to Dunn’s finish.
