Today marks the 17th anniversary of Boston United’s promotion to the Football League.
Swarms of Pilgrims fans headed to Hayes to watch the side win 2-0 courtesy of goals from Simon Weatherstone and Ray Warburton. The result saw United pip Dageham and Redbridge on goal difference to secure the Conference title. Pictured are some of Standard photographer Nick Johnson’s shots from the day.
