John Blackwell has announced he will step down as Boston United’s general manager and club secretary at the conclusion of the current season.
The club has expressed its grateful thanks to John for his 38 years of service and dedication to the club.
The directors have offered him the role of Club President and he has accepted the offer.
A testimonial game will be arranged in due course in recognition of John’s service to Boston United Football Club and this will give the fans, past players, staff and directors the opportunity to show their appreciation of the service he has given. Further announcements will be made in due course.
The club is a huge part of John’s life and he has indicated that he will continue to support the club in any way he can in the future.
