Boston Town and Wisbech Town shared the spoils last night - ending the game with a goal and a red card apiece.

The Fenmen needed just three minutes to open the scoring, Chris Bacon heading home Matt Sparrow’s delivery.

However, Jack Wightwick pulled the Poachers level from a penalty before the break, beating stand-in keeper Steven Reid after Aaron Butcher was sent off for conceding the spot kick.

Boston looked to exert pressure in the second half but Wisbech rode the storm.

Both sides were down to 10 men late on after Terry Fleming picked up his second yellow.

The point sees the Poachers remain in seventh in the UCL Premier.

Mark Angel’s side now travel to face Harborough on Saturday (KO 3pm).
