Nathan Collins has labelled Boston Town’s early season fixture list as ‘ridiculous’.

The Poachers will travel to face Desborough today.

League officials had originally scheduled Boston to play their first three UCL Premier matches away from the DWB Stadium but, with cup draws, Town will now play 10 of their first 13 competitive contests away from home.

Despite the long hauls, things haven’t turned out too badly for the Poachers-who have scored 14 times in their first five away matches of the season.

“It’s ridiculous. We don’t seem to be having any problems scoring, but the travelling is becoming a bit much,” Collins said.

Turning his attention to Desborough, the manager added: “They’re normally a big, strong and workmanlike team.

“It’s too early to know where teams will finish this season, but we’re always confident in what we can do.”
