After last year’s impressive defeat to the Boston Grammarians, the Giles Academics will this year face a fresh challenge from Thomas Middlecott Academy as the two teams battle it out to determine who will be the victors in this year’s Vidler Cup encounter.

The footballing showcase will take place on Monday, July 4 at Boston Town’s DWB Stadium.

Teams representing the two schools will do battle with their sights set on the trophy.

The Vidler Cup is competed for in honour of former Giles Academy teacher Ben Vidler, who died of cancer in 2014.

Support is welcome and proceeds will be split between Macmillan Cancer Support, Bloodwise and Guide Dogs charities.

Kick off will be at 7pm.
