Boston United have suspended training, but Craig Elliott hopes morale will remain high within the camp.

Following Government advice to avoid gatherings of groups in light of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Pilgrims have opted to let players keep fit with their own routines.

However, manager Elliott has a firm faith his squad will remain in top condition.

“We’ve decided to suspend training,” he said.

“The situation is difficult so we’ve had to come to a decision, myself and the chairman. Players are training individually.

“The thing is that, being part time, you have to have trust in your players to do their own work.

“Individual training, the correct diet, stuff like that. I trust my players to do the right things.

“These are extreme circumstances, but Hayden Clifton (sports rehabilitator) has worked out some individual plans and diets for the players at the moment.”

While the players may not be mixing at training or matches, Elliott hopes WhatsApp group chats will help maintain morale in the camp.

He added: “We’ve got a management team group, one for us all and the players have their own one.

“We can all stay in contact and that helps at times like this. “
