Tyrell Warren is part of Boston United's play-off squad... and manager Craig Elliott would love the former Manchester United youth teamer to be with the club even longer.

The right back is eligible to feature for the Pilgrims because his loan move from League Two Salford City had not officially ended when the campaign was postponed.

"He's been fantastic. He's been superb, both him and Matty Challoner, and that's just one position itself," Elliott said.

"They've both been outstanding, done really well has Tyrell.

"He's now been officially released by Salford so we've got him for a month."

With Warren now a free agent, Challoner committed to Southport next season and Ben Middleton joining Grantham Town, Elliott would love Warren to fill that void at right back next season.

"Without a doubt," he said. "His attitude is fantastic. Everything he's done, he's a great lad and very talented player.

"He's got a few professional clubs looking at him as well so we'll see what happens."
