"We need some sort of decision so we can move forward!" Boston United's Craig Elliott hopes National League voting period doesn't last full 28 days
Craig Elliott wants to end the waiting game, hoping clubs can be given a clear decision on whether the season will continue as soon as possible.
The 66 sides which make up the three National League divisions were asked to vote on the future of the campaign on February 1.

"We're still a couple of weeks away from the 28 days, I just hope it doesn't last that long," Elliott said.
"It would be nice if we could get some clarification soon. It's just getting more and more frustrating. I think that's the thing now.
"I've spoken to other managers in the league and a few players, I think everyone thinks we're at the point we just need some sort of decision so we can move forward; whether that's good news or bad news."

Elliott has, himself, attempted to make sense of what to expect.
"I've written down every team and tried to come up with a solution going by how I thought they'd vote or the statements they've made," he added.
"It's close. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. That could bring more problems if we've got a split."

"Each team and manager has no idea how to prepare as you don't know what's coming round the corner.
"We're all this together. We all want to play football but it has to be right for each team.
"The emotions are up and down. One day I think we'll be on and then you hear bits and think it's looking doubtful. It's difficult mentally to focus on it really.

It appears the majority of the National League North clubs want to end the season, although the vote at step two could be close as a number of teams in the South wish to play on.
This, however, may be immaterial if resolution one - for each step to decide their own destiny - isn't passed by a margin of 75 per cent.
For this vote all National League clubs will have one vote each while the North and South will have four votes per league.
