Freiston, Leake and Leverton began their first season in the South Lincs and Border League Division One with an 87-run victory over Heckington.
Waseem Ilyas top scored with 43 before Taimur Mian and John Goodfellow starred with the ball.
Batting first, opener Ilyas got Freiston off to a good start, punishing any short bowling as he made a punchy 43 before becoming Jake Ellis’s first wicket.
All of Freiston’s middle order made double figures but were halted by a five-wicket haul from Ellis.
Stewart Kirtley made 19, Zeeshan Saeed 15, Abdul Moeed 21 and Sunil Panjwani 19. These contributions helped Freiston on to 172, a total helped by late order runs from Ashok Kumar (11), Ollie Booth (13) and Taimur Mian (11).
Mian began superbly with ball, dismissing both Heckington openers in a fine opening spell.
Tommy Atkinson had Dominic Kew caught by Moeed before Booth clean bowled Sam Pemberton.
These four wickets reduced Heckington to 25-4 but a 45 run partnership between Ellis and Ian Glendinning threatened to take the game away from Freiston.
Disciplined Freiston bowling was rewarded when John Goodfellow clean bowled Glendinning for 21.
Ellis (29) was also dismissed by Goodfellow, thanks to a superb catch above his head by Booth at slip.
After the partnership was broken the innings subsided with Goodfellow deservedly claiming two more scalps as Heckington were dismissed for 85.
Freiston travel to Lincoln to play Lindum Thirds on Saturday.
