Maskell’s unbeaten century aids Graves Park victory

Graves Park left Boston Cricket Club with a 78-run victory over the Third XI.

The Park posted 229-6, with their hosts finishing their 45 overs on 151-9 in this South Lincs and Border League Division Two contest.

Liam Maskell struck an unbeaten 115 for the Park, with support coming from Jack Ashton (55), Joe Gilbert (20 not out) and John Morris (14).

Wickets were taken by Steve Appleyard (two), Shaun Moore (two), Kevin Brooks and Wills Barker.

For Boston, Apleyard top scored with an unbeaten 29 runs.

Other notable scores came from Tom Appleyard (27), Steve Elleray (23), Sean Barnett (16), Dave Gilding (11) and Shaun Moore (11).

Jack Ashton, Steve Clements, Martin Hodgson, Joe Gilbert, John Morris and Ben Brinkley took a wicket apiece.

Three run outs also played their part in the Park’s impressive victory.

Boston’s Sunday Firsts beat Morton by 37 runs in the Lincoln Premier Division.

Boston posted 159-4, including an unbeaten 72 from Tom Baxter, with Morton replying with 122.

Boston’s Sunday Seconds were beaten in their DivisionTwo clash at Caythorpe.

Caythorpe were dismissed for 169, but the away side were all out for 107.
