Boston Rowing Club’s Inspired by Rio rowing taster day was labelled a huge success.
Bringing in lots of juniors and adults to try one of the sports that helped Team GB rise to their best Olympics ever, coaches from the club were on hand to explain the basics of rowing (pictured).
They also helped those interested train on an ergo machine and guided them into their first outing on the river, giving lots of opportunities of going in both single crew boats with the help of some of Boston’s junior squad.
Rowing is a sport that appeals to people of all ages and abilities, so it’s not too late if you have enjoyed watching the rowing and are feeling inspired to give it a go.
The club’s next Learn To Row course will be starting next week.
The course is aimed at complete beginners.
