Boston ABC boxer Adrianna Finch has received confirmation of her international debut.
Last week The Standard revealed that the 16-year-old had received a call-up to the England squad after impressing coaches in recent weeks.
But now Adrianna has been told that she will make her debut over the weekend of April 18 and 19.
She will compete in the Three Nations competition at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.
Adrianna will attend a briefing the previous day and competition will commence Saturday morning.
Finch has been putting herself through additional training at Boston’s Field Street gym in readiness for the event.
The competition is part of an extensive boxing programme to finalise future selections for other international events.
Adrianna recently caught the selectors’ eye when she fought in the National Junior Championships, losing in the final.
She was invited to take part in a series of training sessions before being offered her international call-up.
