Boston Tennis Club’s Men made it two wins from two matches in the Aegon Team Tennis’ East Midlands Region competition.
Playing away at Kibworth, the team of Henry Beesley, Lewis Fisher, Sam Kemp and David Cheer were level throughout, claiming victory on a tie-break shootout.
Boston’s under 14s boys’ A team, playing at the higher level of the Aegon Regional Premier League, played their first home Aegon match on Sunday against David Lloyd Burton Waters.
Jake Sherrick, Lucas East, Harry Foster and Michael Niedermeier missed out 1-5.
The under 14 Boston boys’ B team had an excellent 5-1 win away at Grantham against the club’s A team.
Playing for Boston were Trent Hutson, George Wookey, Harvey Vickers and Thomas Piggins.
The under 14 Aegon C team – Alastair Boothby, Alex Pinchin, Harry Clayton and George Clayton – lost out 1-5 to Horncastle.
The under 16 boys’ Aegon A team beat Grantham A 6-0.
Playing against Grantham were Thomas Cozens, Toby McDonnell-Woods, Connall Newton and Robert Hayes.
Boston’s under 16 B team - Trent Hutson, George Wookey, Alex Pinchin and George Clayton - travelled to David Lloyd Burton and were overpowered 5-1.
The very youngest competitors – the red teams - had wins at Louth Indoor and against Grantham B team.
Boston’s Aegon Red A team - Emily Stukins, Finley Mackey, Jacob Felipes and James Gedney – lost only three rubbers at Louth Indoor while the Red B team - Poppy Gibbons, Jacob Scuffham, Georgina Cameron and William Pettit - played Grantham B and just pipped the opposition 9-7.
Boston Orange A played Burton Waters, with Isabel Wookey, Paul Aranin, Lois Boothby and Hannah Willis winning 10-0.
Boston Orange B team beat Grantham A team 9-1, a success for James Burrell, Will Shears, Katie Wood and James Gedney.
Boston Tennis Club Green A travelled to Tennis Buddies, where William Cheer, Alice Gamman, Anna Coghlan and Serena Morrow had a fine 5-1 result.
