Martin White and Paul Hutchinson were the fastest Boston Wheelers team home as the club hosted its Two-up 25-mile time trial.
Warm Warm, sunny and a gentle wind were the weather conditions that welcomed the 20 teams that took part in the route that goes through Sibsey, to the bottom of Keal Hill, across to Revesby back along through New Bolingbroke before finishing near Ashcroft Fabrics, Cowbridge.
As well as the local clubs there were also riders from Lincoln, Scunthorpe and Doncaster competing on the circular route.
The fastest team on the day were A. Nash and C. Rodger from Scunthorpe Polytechnic CC, who posted a time of 53.20.
Boston had three teams taking part.
White and Hutchinson finished in 59 mins 16 secs, ahead of Dave Grayson and Darren Smith (1.02-03) and Alan Sharpe and Steve Blackbourn (1.1-43).
Anyone interested in trying out time trialling is invited to the Wheelers’ come-and-try-it night on Tuesday, May 3.
Thos interested can meet near Boston’s B&Q at 6.30pm.
No special equipment is required, just a roadworthy bike. Although helmets and arear red light are reccommended.
