Anne Wallhead has taken over as the new Lady Captain at Boston Golf Club, and Jane Bratley is the new Lady President.
The new committee was formed at the Ladies’ AGM, held after the ladies’ section played a military March over 10 holes.
The winning team was Judith Flevill, Chris Sherriff and Anne Sutton with 38 stableford points. Second place went to Pam Hyde, Jean Markham and Yvonne Shaffarczyk with 35 points.
A cheque for £1,528 was presented to the Boston Breast Unit at Pilgrim Hospital by outgoing captain Hilary Calvert, her chosen charity for the year.
Pam Hyde won the Lincolnshire Veteran Ladies’ Autumn stableford at Market Rasen with a resounding victory.
Her 38 points, five clear of the runner-up, claimed the Nelson Trophy.
Twenty mixed teams battled it out for the Macmillan Cancer support matchplay title at the Cowbridge club.
The annual event saw the Lady Captain’s team take on the Gents’ Captain’s team, each side represented by 10 pairs.
Vice-captain Tony Miller stood in for men’s captain Peter Keal, and took his team to victory, winning the trophy with a 7.5-2.5 success against Hilary Calvert’s team.
A total of £1,000 was raised by the event.
