BEN Wilson travels to Snetterton in Norfolk for round four of the Motorpoint British Supersport championship at the weekend (May 25-27) – as he aims to move to the top of the standings.
Wilson will be looking for two top results to keep him in touch with series leader Jack Kennedy, who holds an slender eight-and-a -half point advantage over Wilson after the Boston rider secured a brace of second places at Oulton Park in the previous round.
Last year at the Norfolk venue, Wilson scored two second places and is anxious to better that this time around.
But it will not be an easy task for the 30-year-old Gearlink Kawasaki rider as the competition will be tough - with at least half a dozen other riders all out for the same result.
Nonetheless, Wilson is up for the challenge and raring to go.
He said: “The championship is very close this year and there will be a number of riders all clamouring for the win at Snetterton, me included.
“It all makes for a couple of exciting and close races for the fans, and I intend to be up there in the mix both times.”
Free practice is on Friday with the half-hour qualifying session due at 11am on Saturday.
The first race to be run over 10 laps will take place later on Saturday at 3.45pm.
The feature race over 15 laps of the 2.99-mile course is set for 3.45pm on Sunday.
