BERNICE Wilson has edged even closer to fulfilling her dream of competing for Great Britain in this year’s European Indoor Championships.
On Saturday she ran the 60m sprint in 7.31 secs - a fraction away from the qualifying time of 7.30 secs.
The Wyberton sprinter achieved the feat competing at the Loughborough Indoor Open event and still has time on her side as she bids to reach the coveted 7.30 secs mark.
Bernice is currently preparing for a number of meets abroad.
She has already ran 7.34 secs in Sheffield this year, beating a record held by international heptathlete Jessica Ennis.
The indoor championships will be held in Paris in March.
