BOSTON Grammar School’s junior boys team finished with four runners in the top 20 places at last week’s Fenland Schools’ Cross-country League match.
At the end of the one-and-three-quarter mile course around Stanground School playing field, the year seven and eight runners were led in by captain Liam Brotherton, who crossed the finish line in fourth position.
Second man home was Blake Garwell in seventh place, with Sam Anthony claiming 14th.
Debutant Will Tetther was 20th and the fourth team counter, giving them 45 points.
In the first match in the series BGS scored 50 points for second place.
Boston’s B team was led in by Aaron Bradshaw (28th), ahead of Bailey Forth (30th), Sam Macleod (40th) and Ben Lawrence (41st).
The C team were Will Swain (48th), Harry Limb (51st), Jay Gardner (58th), Harry Bowyer (63rd) and Alex Hackett (64th).
