Young talents from Boston Rowing Club were in action at the National Schools Regatta in Nottingham at the weekend.

Boston sent two WJ14 2x crews, as well as WJ15 1x and J15 2x boats.

Lucie Scott, in the WJ15 1x, missed out in qualifying for the final of the biggest event of the regatta, which boasted 42 entries.

Jacques Gavey and Oliver Tunnard qualified but missed the final by 0.2seconds in a blanket semi-final finish in the J15 2x.

Ruby and Jasmine Latka came third in their semi-final of the WJ14 2x while Bunty Blanshard and Maddie Lambe came through in second in their semi as Boston had two teams compete in the final.

An unfavourable redrawing of the lanes left Boston in the cold, but both crews rowed their hardest as Blanshard and Lambe finished fourth and the Latka twins crossed the line a place behind.

The next event for the club is the Peterborough Regatta on May 30-31.
