Boston Amateur Swimming Club swimmers made it three league wins out of three in the latest meeting of the Fenland League competition.
Eighteen swimmers made the long coach journey to Newmarket to face teams from Deepings, March, First Strokes and Bottisham to gain vital points in this competition.
Boston’s first race win of the evening came in race number three,when Edward Proctor was victorious in the boys 13 and under 50m backstroke.
Three more race wins soon followed from Anton Kiss (boys nine years 50m freestyle), Megan Glynn (girls nine years 50m freestyle) and Cavan Chambers (boys 10 years/under 50m breaststroke).
Boston edged ahead of Deepings thanks to Cavan Chambers (boys 12 years/under 50mbackstroke), Millie Prudden (girls 13 years/under 50m fly), Anton Kiss (boys nine years 50m breaststroke) and Alfie Prudden (boys 10 years/under 50m freestyle).
The final 15 races followed a similar pattern, finishing with an impressive eight-person relay victory over Deepings by less than half a second.
Final results: 1 Boston 184 points, 2 Deepings 162, 3 First Strokes 104, 4 Bottisham 103, 5 March 97.
