Up-and-coming taekwondo star Megan Featherstone has won gold at the British International Open.

The 15-year-old, from Amber Hill, had to successfully navigate her way through three rounds to claim the coveted first place.

Megan, a Middlecott School pupil, won the title in Aylesbury last weekend.

After learning the martial art with Boston Taewondo Club, Megan has progressed through the ranks and is a member of the British development squad, meaning the GB team are keeping tabs on her rising star.

Megan is now a member of the Quest Taekwondo Club, which is based in Sheffield.

She also does fitness training with Boston’s Evolution Martial Arts.
