Cade paves the way in table tennis league

Jason Cade set up Sibsey A for a fine 7-3 victory in the A.D. Dickinson Division Two of the Boston and District Table Tennis League.

He took all his three games against Lodgers H, beating Steve Marshall, Scott Raistrick and Boyd Smith.

For Lodgers, Marshall beat Sam Langford and Phil Coote.

Smith also beat Langford.

Penmaen C were without Chris Cooke in their 7-3 defeat to Graves Park Nomads.

Walt Bridges added to Penmaen’s woes by beating both John Shortland and Dave Smith, while Chips Davey also beat Smith.

Gary Hall lost to both Shortland and Smith, but won the doubles with Bridges.

Graves Park E beat Sibsey A 8-2.

Steve Clements won his three and Pete Truepenny and Peter Bell added two each in the win.

Coote and Langford won one each as Sibsey claimed two consolation points.

Graves Park B won 9-1 against Belchford.

Brian Todd beat Dave Graham for his side’s point, but Mike Freeston and Alan Reetham both went on to win their three matches for the Park.
