KIRTON wheelchair basketball ace Charlie Bonner successfully made the move into the senior level of the sport.
Aged just 13, Charlie was competing with his Newark Jaguars teammates in an open-age division.
And he scored baskets in his first two matches at this level in a double-header in Wales.
He was on target as Newark suffered a narrow 24-22 defeat to host club Cardiff Celts.
Charlie followed this up by scoring again as his side comfortably beat the Derby Wheelblazers 34–24.
Undeterred by the age or size difference, Charlie was so persistent in his man-marking one Derby opponent that the Wheelblazer lost his cool and had to be taken off the court.
Charlie was also in action at Nottingham in the Under 15s Junior League at Nottingham Wildcats Arena.
The Jag’s played three matches and Charlie scored five baskets in total, helping the team to three victories, leaving them in second place in their division.
