Less than 10lbs separated the top five at Westwood Lakes’ New Years Eve Open Match on Falcon Lake.

Richard Kinnersley won the match from peg 17 with 90lbs 4oz of f1 Carp on pellet fished down the track.

In second was Baz Bright on peg 13 with 85lbs 4oz.

The third-placed angler was Davis Gurton on peg 39 with 84lbs 14oz.

Paul Harsley was top rod on Falcon Lake as he won the Sunday Open at Westwood Lakes last week.

There were plenty of fish to be caught in the mild weather of December 27.

Harsley (Dave’s Peg) bagged 115lbs 8oz of f1 Carp to win the match.

He fished long on pellet to catch mainly f1 Carp on end peg one.

In second was Brendan Strowlger (Westwood Lakes) from peg three with 108lbs 2oz.

The third-placed angler was Adam Swain (Sensas A4) with 100lbs 8oz.

The third-placed angler was Ron Cuthbert (Webbs Tackle) on peg 41 with 74lbs 8oz.
