Q Club are still on a roll in the snooker league

Q CLUB 1 continued their fine start to the season with a 7-1 win over Q Club 6.

Chris Taylor, Steve Charters and Ady Young taking maximum points, while Paul Oyitch scored the consolation point for QC 6.

Shodfriars 20 also had a good second game, going one better than last week to score an 8-0 win.

Daly Richardson, Joe Welch, Kai Overton and Tom Hill took full points.

BSC 9 and BSC 2 Fought to a 4-4 draw. Steve Caithness, Tim Calvey, Carl Manning and Rob Johnson all lost their first frames but won the second frames against Dan Hurling, Dan Himsworth, Grant Marshall and Lee Ford respectively.

Things also finished level between BSC 3 and Shodfriars 6.

Gary Willis and Shane White put Shoddys in front 4-0, before Neil Hutson and N Robinson took their frames to complete the draw.

BSC 1 took a second 7-1 win over BSC 4 to keep themselves in contention.

Brian Cox, Craig Fitter and Steven Hallworth took their frames, while John Sharp took a consolation frame against Simon Rankin.

BRITISH Rail 4 and British Rail 3 played out a draw on Thursday night. D. Winrow put Rail ahead before G. Middleton levelled the game at 2-2. I. Dallywaters and C. Vere then drew against D. Sawer and D. Whyler respectively.

Shodfriars 3 stormed to the top of the table with a 7-1 win over BSC 6, J. Vines, R. Crunkhorn and J. Ely taking full points while J.. Chain claimed a consolation point against C. Woodcock.

BSC 16 took a hard fought 5-3 victory over Q Club 4.

A. Lawrence put BSC ahead before A. Cartwright restored equilibrium. R. Skinner then put BSC ahead. D. Cutting and A .Brackenbury shared their frames to complete the fixture.

BSC 19 also took a 5-3 win over British Rail 5. P. Revell won 2-0 before W. Tyson, L. Christian and N. Harwood drew with J. Brinkley, J. Furnell and A. Bush respectively.

Q Club Division One

GRAVES Park 4 and Graves Park 3 battled to a draw for the second week running, G. Hall and M. Hodgson put Park 4-0 up before S. Simpson and P. Storr won to make things level at the end.

Conservative Club 4 won 5-3 against BSC 5. S. Richardson and A. Bedford played out a draw before M. Ferguson put BSC 5 ahead 3-1.

Strong performances from L. Clayton and D. Nundy meant they took their frames for the comeback win.

BSC 7 and Kirton Leisure 2 finished level at 4-4. J. Hartley and T. Byng shared their frames before P. Leary put the BSC side up 3-1.

C.. Trigg and P Kearns then drew before G. Byng bought things back to level in the finish.

BSC 14 and Q Club 5 have both dropped out and their fixtures will now become byes.
