Boston golfer Dave Coupland didn’t make the cut at the Challenge de Madrid this week.

Competing at the El Encin Golf Hotel, his rounds of 73 and 74 on Thursday and Friday meant he finished on +3.

That wasn’t enough to progress to the final two days of action in Spain, with Dave left on 116th place on the leaderboard.

The tournament was won by Spaniard Nacho Elvira.

He finished his four rounds on -21 to claim the cheque for 25,600 Euros.

The next European Challenge Tour event will be the Turkish Airlines Challenge, held at the Gloria GC in Antalya, beginning on May 10.

Coupland finished joint second at the event last year, scooping 14,000 Euros as he completed his four rounds to par.
