Boston Judo Club chairman Dave Lovelace has been commemorated for his lifetime of dedication to the Olympic sport.
Last Sunday he was presented with his fifth dan level, as well as being handed a lifetime membership of the British Judo Association.
Dave, now aged 70, has been involved with the sport for 55 years.
Over the years he has competed for Boston Judo Club and taken on coaching roles.
These days he takes more of a back seat role, but is still the club’s chairman and also attends events to pass on his experience to members.
He was presented with both accolades by Dave Horton-Jones, a sixth dan member of the association, at a Cherry Judo Club invitational competition.
