G&S Racing Kawasaki rider Jordy De Jonge is preparing to return to the Netherlands to spend time in a rehabilitation centre.

The 17-year-old has shown considerable improvement since coming out of an induced coma, following a crash at Brands Hatch last month.

He still has to undergo one final operation before returning to his homeland, but the youngster is now back on his feet, talking, eating normally and able to enjoy trips out of hospital with his family.

Jordy’s teammates Tom Fisher and Kevin Van Leuven will be back in action for the Wyberton-based team this weekend as the fourth round of the National Superstock 1000 and 600 championships are to be run as support classes to the World Superbike Championship round that takes place at Donington Park over the Bank Holiday weekend of May 22-24.
