In the Lincolnshire Slazenger Doubles League Division One, Boston Tennis Club’s Ladies beat Woodhall Spa 8-1.

The team was Lucy Hull, Ashleigh Frankish, Charlotte Priestley, Linda Barrow, Emma Mastin and Rachel Gedney.

In the Lincolnshire League Division 3A, Boston Men’s Thirds earned a very good 8-1 win against Horncastle.

The team was John Gibson, Ryan Frankish, Richard Hart, Andy Clamp, Geoff Presland and Tom Cozens.

The Boston Ladies played a deciding match in Division One of the Aegon Team Tennis competition, narrowly losing 7-10 in a double tie-break shootout.

It was hosts St James, Grimsby who booked their place in the regional play-offs.

The Boston Tennis Club 14 and under boys’ Aegon Team Tennis B team had a close loss against Tennis Buddies.

The team of Trent Hutson, George Wookey, Harry Groutage and Joe McGarel were level after the singles and doubles but lost the tie-break shootout.

Boston’s 16 and under boys Aegon team beat Deeping 12-0.

The team on this occasion was Jake Sherrick, Thomas Cozens, Lucas East and Toby McDonnell-Woods.

Boston’s Green A team continued the team’s unbeaten run in th Aegon event with a solid 12-0 win over Grantham B team.

Alice Gamman, Isabel Wookey, Lois Boothby and Serena Morrow all put in good performances to gain this victory.

The 12 and under Boston boys’ B team also won, with Max Mecklenburgh, Tom Mecklenurgh, Ben Robson and Joseph Brooks winning comfortably 12-0 against Sleaford.

Boston Tennis Club will host the Chattertons Boston Tennis Club Tournament from tomorrow (Thursday) to July 5.
