Emma Mastin and Zac McDonnell-Woods are the 2014 winners of the Millwood Summer Doubles League, played at Boston Tennis Club.

Emma won 88 games while Zac won 99.

In this league an individual plays six rounds of doubles matches on a three-weekly basis from May until September, partnering everyone in the group and accumulating all the games that the individual wins.

Zac was followed by runner-up Geoff Presland, who won 92 games, and Tom Lambert won 90 in third.

Margaret Wright was the ladies’ runner-up position on 85 games and Diane Sharpe accumulated 84 to occupy third place.

Ladi Hruban has won the Bombay Brasserie Summer Singles Day League, by one point.

Jeremy George-Jones, the winner for a number of seasons, had to settle for the runners-up slot.

Ladi won 26 points to Jeremy’s 25.

Phillip Cosgriff , Richard Walker and Geoff Presland each had 23 points apiece.

Sue Burnett was the winning lady and Rachel Gedney the runner-up.

Jenny Murphy was named the most consistent player, while Robert Smith and Sue Burnett finished second and third respectively.

The Lincolnshire Winter Tennis Team League started last week - with a terrific opening encounter for Boston A, who had a resounding victory over Tennis Buddies.

The team fielded was mini tennis red, orange and green and Boston beat their Woodhall Spa opponents at all three levels.

Playing for the Boston A team at mini red level were James Gedney, Emily Stukins, Joshua Brooks and Finley Collet.

At orange level, Lois Boothby and Isabel Wookey took to the courts while William Cheer and Thomas Piggins were the green team.
