Jake Sherrick and Lucas East have won the under 14s doubles title at Boston Tennis Club.
Competitors from all around the country are taking part in the Boston Indoor Christmas and New Year Grade Four tournament at the Sleaford Road club.
The duo (pictured) claimed the title by defeating Essex’s Elbert Barr and Arin Ozenin 4-2, 5-3 in an exciting final.
Barr was beaten by Leicestershire’s Jobim French in the under 14s singles.
Boston’s William Cheer, who also took part in the under 14s singles, won the 12 and under boys’ singles, beating his doubles partner Daniel Wright 4-5, 5-4 and then 10-2 in the championship tie-break third set in the final.
The host club’s Reece Anderson-Doherty also played in this part of the tournament.
In the 14 and under girls’ event, club members Faith Coffey, Alice Gamman and Christie Halton competed, while Alice was also the runner-up in the under 12s, beaten in the final by Lincoln’s Lucy Evans.
The Men’s Open Doubles was won by Spalding’s Glen Perkins and Sam Burrell, who beat a Derbyshire/Yorkshire combination in the final.
Boston’s James Newton and Owen Jary, and Mike Burnett and his partner Nick Pratt, were beaten semi-finalists.
Tom Cozens and Sam Felipes won the play back competition and Chris Cook and John Gibson competed well in a tough field.
