Broderick Whitmore-Wilson powered himself to three podium finishes at this weekend’s Shepshed Motocross Club’s AMCA meeting.
Competing at Wymeswold, in Leicestershire, the 20-year-old from Gipsey Bridge was racing his Honda CRF450R in the blue riband MX1 Expert class.
He took two third-place finishes before topping the day off with a convincing first place finish in the last race of the event.
“I’m so happy with how today’s gone,” said Broderick.
“I wanted to get some practice in ahead of my next enduro round and today’s motocross meeting proved a great choice.
“The pace was really strong and the track was awesome.”
Broderick’s results gave him a second-place finish overall in the well-attended meeting, delivering a strong confidence boost ahead of his next enduro outing with the Horncastle-based Banovallum Motorcycle Club.
He added: “I learnt a lot today and I’m hoping to use that experience in my next championship race at Claxby on June 15.”
The youngster’s currently second in the Expert Enduro class championship, trailing the leader by a single point.
