Boston and District Athletic Club’s Fallon Lafferty produced another impressive performance in the Lincolnshire Cross Country League.
Competing on Sunday, the Gold Tops’ leading distance runner claimed third place.
Undaunted by the tough terrain provided by Louth’s Hubbards Hills course, Fallon was in the leading group from the start of the under 17, under 20, senior and veteran women’s race.
She maintained a good rhythm throughout and only dropped away from the head of the field over the final 1,000 metres.
Finishing third in the combined womens age group event, Fallon has now claimed a position in the top four places in all four of this season’s Lincolnshire Runner League races.
And with such a record she will surely feature in the end of series Presentation of Awards.
In the under 11s race, Hallam Bedford produced a good run despite a lack of experience on hills.
He finished 18th.
His brother Haddley improved to finish in 26th position in the same event.
