Tom Fisher and Kevin Van Leuven will head to Brands Hatch at the weekend for round three of the Superstock 1000 championship - which is run as one of the support classes to the British Superbike championship.

The last round was a disaster for the Wyberton-based G&S Racing Kawasaki team as the weather ruined what was looking to be a strong performance by both riders.

Tyre choice was the deciding factor and it was unfortunate that the team chose wet weather tyres which disintegrated during the latter stages of the race causing both riders to retire which was better than carrying on and perhaps crashing.

The team will be hoping for a nice warm day at Brands Hatch as a good qualifying time is imperative as there are few passing places on the short Indy circuit and a good grid position will be the deciding factor in the results.

Free practice takes place on Friday at 11.45am, followed at 2.40pm by first qualifying.

Final qualifying is on Saturday at 12.45pm ahead of a short free practice session on Sunday at 10.23am.

The 24-lap race is set for a start at 12.40pm and it is possible it will be televised live in Eurosport 2.
