Six Gold Tops competed in the final Humberside League match at Grimsby on Sunday, with five of them recording personal best performances.
In the under 13 girls’ age group, Boston and District AC’s Amy Bunting produced three personal bests, throwing a magnificent 22.78m in the hammer and 17.91m in discus, as well as 7.03m in the shot putt.
In the under nine age group, Rhys Buswell secured three new best performances.
After clearing 2.18m in long jump, Rhys then clocked 14.7 secs for the 80m sprint and 2 mins 30.6 secs for the 600m.
At uder 11 level, Lyle Burrell Kenny cleared 3.21m in long jump for a new PB and also ran the 80m in 14.1 secs and the 150m in 25.5secs.
Georgia Ward’s leap of 2.55m gave her a new best distance in long jump before she recorded 14.5secs in the 80m sprint.
In the under 11 boys’ contests, Matthew Lewis cleared 3.06m in long jump and then recorded 12.8secs for the 80m sprint.
Senior Emma Penson ran in the mile race, recording a best-ever time of 7 mins 44.3 secs.
