Boston ABC boxers Adrianna Finch and Charlene Middlebrook have both struck gold in Sweden.
Clubmate Nina Bradley also competed in the Golden Girl Trophy as part of the East Midlands Boxing Team, but was beaten by a tough opponent.
Finch, fresh from earning bronze while representing England in the Balkan International Championships, was impressive in her win against Ireland’s Emma Flattery, taking gold with a unanimous decision.
Middlebrook’s stiff southpaw lead saw her comfortably defeat opponent Anna Harland in her semi-finals, before being awarded the unanimous decision in the final against Sweden’s Josélin Sundin.
Bradley faced Denmark’s season campaigner B. Rosmussen, who has previously won silver in the World Championships and bronze in the European Championships.
As a veteran of some 98 contests, Bradley, had it all to do.
However, she raised her game and traded quality offensive skills of her own.
However, Bradley lost by a unanimous points decision.
Boston ABC fighters were also in action at Bracebridge ABC’s show this weekend.
Senior novice Scott Harman suffered a TKO at the hands of Nolan Underwood from Terry Allen School of Boxing.
Also on the card was Coby Brown, who faced home opposition. Brown found it hard going, as he constantly struggled against his opponent’s stronger attacks, losing on a unanimous decision.
Harvey Welding gave a good account of himself in a skills contest.
