Gymnastics club claim top six placesin Spalding

Boston Gymnastics Academy took 12 girls to the Level Six Championships at Spalding Gymnastic Academy.

In the six years group Lacey White finished sixth, with Francheska Heppenstall fifth and Daisy Gould 10th in the seven years.

The eight years saw Ruby Gillings win, with Amelia South second and Millicent Walker sixth.

There was a third place finish in the under nines for Kia Bending-Overton, with Lyle Burrell-Kenny fourth, Eden Gardner fifth and Alice Parkin ninth.

In the 10 years section, Erin Titchmarsh came second while the 11 years age group was won by Emily Fordred.

The girls from Boston Gymnastics were in form in the overall apparatus awards, coming away with the top six places on the floor, with Emily first, Amelia second, Eden third, Kia fourth, Ruby fifth and Lyle and Millicent joint sixth.

On the beam Amelia came first, Kia third and Ruby fifth. Amelia was joint fourth on the vault and Millicent fifth on bars.

Of the 142 gymnasts entered in the overall competition that day on all pieces and age groups, Kia finished an amazing fourth place, Lyle and Ruby joint fifth.

Emily was seventh, Eden eighth and Amelia ninth.
