Youngster Callum Bastock came out on top during Captain’s Day at the Cowbridge course.
Club captain Dave Manson was hosting the day, seeing everyone out.
There were indifferent conditions, but that didn’t stop good scores from several players.
Bastock scored 43 pointts to see off dad Paul who came third.
Nicky Frost finished second on countback.

Playing off 10, Trevor Newton produced some great golf to shoot a nett 66 to take the Islands Trophy.
Michael Skinner was also in good form, shooting a nett 68.
He took second place playing off five.

Boston Golf Club’s ladies’ team have won promotion for the third consecutive season.
Jean Markham’s side topped the topped the Division Three South and will now compete in the Division Two South.
The Nora Royle Trophy was presented to Joan Young, winning with a nett 73.
Second was Ann Gullick with nett 74 on a countback from lady captain Pam King.
The August Stableford was won by Anne Sutton, with 38 points.
She beat Ruth Simpson (35), who came second on countback to pip Lynn Worthington.
