Two Boston Squash Club members who compete on the National Masters circuits have just completed a very successful season on the National scene.
Mark Hildred has been selected to represent the England over 45s team while David Stones (left) also proved himself to be one of the top over 55s players in the country, reaching the last eight of the National Championships in Manchester.
David reached the last eight of the competition for the second consecutive year.
He also gave a good account of himself in the quarter finals, narrowly missing out to Stuart Hardy.
Hildred will play for the England in the Home International Championships in May.
He also had a successful Masters season, reaching the last 16 of the British Open Championships, as well as the National Championships, and finishing in the top eight of the four regional tournaments he entered.
This meant that Mark had accumulated enough points to be picked for the England team.
It is more than 30 years since he had first been selected to play for England, in the under 19s category.
During his professional career, Mark had also been selected to play for England’s under 23s team.
