Boston Hockey Club’s under 14s competed in round two of the Lincolnshire League in Louth.
The young side were without a recognised goalkeeper, leaving volunteers to take turns between the sticks.
In their first match against Sleaford the side had plenty of attacking possession but couldn’t convert, losing 2-0.
Against Bourne Deeping the pace was upped and Boston responded well, winning 2-0.
The following game against hosts Louth was one of their toughest tasks, and despite great defensive play the side lost 2-0.
Against Alford, Boston kept their steel and could have even won the fixture, with good efforts going wide.
However, they had to settle for a goalless stalemate.
Boston’s final game was also a goalless draw, this time against Spalding.
