It’s Scot to be my race - Ben

Ben Wilson travels north of the border to Scotland this week for the forthcoming round of the MCE British Superbike championship.

And the Kirton rider has his sights set on two top finishes at Knockhill on Sunday.

Following his disappointing weekend at Snetterton in the previous round - where he suffered a crash in the first race and scored just one championship point for 15th in the second affair - Wilson will be looking to turn his championship around at one of his favourite circuits.

Riding for Gearlink Kawasaki, Wilson has had his fair share of problems with the Superbike as, being in the early stages of development, it is still throwing up a few issues that seem difficult to resolve.

But the short, undulating circuit at Knockhill may well be the turning point of his season.

The weekend begins on Friday with two free practice sessions.

The first will be at 10.10am, followed by the second at 3.20pm.

The final free practice session is on Saturday at 10.20am, ahead of the three-stage qualifying laps at 4.05pm.

There is a 10 minute warm-up on Sunday morning at 9.35am to check all is well for the start of the first 30-lap race at 1.30pm.

The second race is due on track at 4.30pm and again will be run over 30 laps of the Scottish circuit.

Qualifying on Saturday and both races on Sunday will benefit from live coverage on British Eurosport 2.
