Kirkman can claim to have the first bird

PIGEON racing entered a new phase when fanciers competed with their young birds from Bubwith on Saturday.

In form in Boston Central RPC was Andrew Kirkman, who had the first bird into town for the 59-mile race.

In Boston and District RPC the partnership of John Hardy and John Burt continued their good form of the old bird season by taking the first three places, a boost, no doubt, for John Burt as he fights the dreaded cancer.
