Boston Ladies had a good win over Collingham in Division One of the Lincolnshire Slazenger Doubles League.

The team of Emily Hawkesworth, Linda Tinsley, Ashleigh Frankish, Rachel Atkinson, Linda Barrow and Claire Smith scored valuable points without conceding a rubber in this away match.

In Division Two, Boston Men’s Second team missed out on much-needed points in their match against Appleby Frodingham.

Frustratingly close, the team – Anthony Hulley, Dan Bambridge, Geoff Short, Chris Cook, Zach McDonnell-Woods and Jack Morrow - lost 4-5.

Boston Men’s Fourth and Third teams play in Division 3B.

Both sides are holding steady at the top of this league and Boston Fourths’ bid to finish first was helped by a 9-0 result against Tealby at the weekend.

The Ladies’ Fourth and Fifth teams compete in Division 3 of the Lincolnshire Doubles League and are also gaining some consistently impressive results.

The latest from the Fifth team was an overwhelming 9-0 victory over Bourne Seconds.

Playing for the Fifths on this occasion were Jayne and Sophie Walsh, Victoria Needham, Rebecca Beardsley, Victoria Beardsley and Charlotte Priestley.
