Boston and District Athletic Club’s Fallon Lafferty marked her debut year in the Lincolnshire Runner Cross Country League with an overall second-place finish.
After finishing well in the placings in each round, the BADAC competitor finished as the second individual in the senior women’s age group.
After a consistent series of runs in 2014, Fallon finished inside the top four positions in every round of her Yellowbelly outings.
And that was enough for the Gold Top to carry off the Lincolnshire Athletics Association’s second-place trophy in her first season in the county.
Hallam and Haddley Bedford ran well in the under 11 boys’ race at the Lincolnshire AA Cross Country Championships on Sunday.
The race was organised as a curtain-raiser for the competition.
In dry and bright conditions the two Boston and District Athletic Club youngsters produced improved performances over the Riseholme Lincoln course which was previously used for one of this season’s series of Lincs League matches.
At the end of the 1,500m event, Hallam finished eighth in 6 mins 42 secs.
Younger brother Haddley claimed 10th spot, recording 7 mins 23 secs.
Both Hallam and Haddley were awarded Lincolnshire League medals, having competed in and finished a minimum of three races in the 2014 League series.
