Hannah Macleod was part of the England team which claimed second place in the Investec World Hockey League.

Sunday’s final at Chiswick saw the England side go down 3-0 to Australia.

England had drawn 1-1 with the Hockeyroos in the group stage of the competition, but goals from Ashleigh Nelson, Kellie White and Emily Smith proved the difference in the final.

England had also drawn 1-1 with Spain and beaten South Africa 4-1 in their group stages.

However, Macleod - a Boston-born striker, who also represented Great Britain at the Olympics - didn’t get on the scoresheet until the quarter-finals.

There she found the net as England defeated Italy 3-1.

Macleod scored her second goal of the tournament in the semi-finals, when England eased past Argentina 4-2.
